As the kids grow up, the presents seem to be getting smaller but the price becomes greater!
When the festive season comes around again and the kids look at you with those longing eyes, any promises to keep my budget in check fly out the window as fast as the cash flies out of my purse.
So this year, I thought I’d put together an article with some handy hints and tips on budget Christmas gifts and advice on how to stick to your budget and make your money go further.
One of my favourite gift ideas is to frame and gift wrap a poem you’ve written or a picture you’ve painted or drawn. A friend’s 12-year-old son wrote a beautiful poem that she had framed and gave to her father-in-law as a Christmas present one year. It became his most favourite gift and still creates a talking point when they have visitors to the house.
