Surprisingly, Spot, the lovable puppy famed for his antics in a range of Spot the dog illustrated stories, turned 30 this year. Created by Eric Hill, Spot first appeared in the book, ‘Where’s Spot?’ in 1980. Over the years, his popularity has grown and now Spot stories are enjoyed by children around the world.
Spot stories are simple and educational, featuring Spot; his mum, Sally; dad, Sam; and friends Helen the blue hippo, Steve the monkey, and Tom the green friendly crocodile.
