Did you know that the British eat more confectionery per head that any other country?
I didn’t. In all fairness I thought that Americans and perhaps Belgians (after all they “invented” chocolate – didn’t they?) were ahead of us.
As we clearly like chocolate, and to complement our growing range of chocolates, we have just added a box of delicious Fair Trade Belgian Chocolates (pictured here).
The cocoa beans used to make these chocolates have been ethically sourced to guarantee a better deal for fair-trade producers.
These luxury, Fair Trade Belgian chocolates are presented in a gift box wrapped with light green, metallic paper and decorated with a sheer, chocolate brown organza ribbon. The box, which weighs 225g contains an assortment of milk, white and dark Fair Trade chocolates – just perfect as a gift or as a treat for yourself.

It’s packed with useful information and quirky facts…
For instance, did you know that cocoa pods are about the size of American footballs and contain moist white cocoa beans and pulp? These are expertly fermented and dried to develop the chocolate taste.
They also mention that cocoa is one of the most environmentally friendly tropical crops – I can’t think of a better excuse to indulge, can you?
