Now Halloween is almost here!

Or to be more accurate Halloween is already here for me - as I have been preparing some haunting Halloween balloons and other scary gifts for our web site, I’m almost in the mood to get ready to trick or treat!

Last year, on the 31st of October, we had a weird procession of witches, monsters, vampires, pirates, a princess, Darth Vader, a few Spidermen, and two freaks wearing Tony Blair and George Bush masks, threatening us with ‘trick or treat’.

Don’t Make This Christmas Gift Mistake

I’m always on the lookout for interesting gift ideas but sometimes come across some bizarre ideas I wouldn’t recommend.

I tried to list some of the main pitfalls of gift buying in 8 Gift Ideas to Avoid and listed examples of real life bad gifts on the Big Fat Balloons web site. I even posted a recollection of funny gift mistakes collated from friends’ experiences on this site.

I have to admit missing this one out.

122 Days Left for Christmas Gifts Shopping

A few weeks ago Selfridges allegedly sent out a press release announcing there were “Only 143 shopping days until Christmas”.

Twelve days ago the Daily Mail was lamenting about the commercialisation of Christmas announcing, “With more than a third of the year still to go and the summer holidays in full swing, Harrods and Selfridges launched their Christmas shops”.
